The North Jersey Civil War Round Table presents: Twentieth Annual Civil War Legal Issue Presentation

The  focus of the presentations will  be on the successful  local battles in the South  against the Klan waged by the new Department of Justice, especially  in 1871-73; the decisions of the US Supreme Court gutting the potential reach of the Civil War Constitutional  Amendments; and  the reasons for the ultimate failure to protect the formerly enslaved.
