In this informal, community-focused gathering, our neighbor Debbie will share highlights from her personal collection of Depression Glass, along with stories about how she began collecting and what makes these pieces so special. Whether you're a seasoned collector or simply curious, you'll enjoy seeing these vintage treasures up close.
We welcome you to step back in time and discover the beauty and history of Depression Glass, a type of colorful glassware that was mass-produced during the Great Depression era (1929–1939). Often given away as premiums in cereal boxes or at movie theaters, these vibrant pieces brought a touch of cheer and elegance to everyday life during difficult times.
Join us at the library for a relaxed conversation over tea or coffee and take a moment to connect with history—and with each other.
Mount Tabor Branch Library is located in the heart of the historical section of Mount Tabor. Parking is by the fire station, and walk up the left side of the CMA building. We are the fourth building on the left.
