Highlights of the Met Cloisters

The Met Cloisters' impressive collection of medieval art consists of nearly 5,000 pieces.  This lecture will take a closer look at several of the museum’s highlights, as well as provide background information as to just how the Cloisters came to be the well-known and beloved museum it is today.  Some of the pieces discussed will include Robert Campin’s Mérode Altarpiece, the Cloisters Cross, and the Unicorn Tapestries.
