Event Details

This presentation is about New Jerseys beautiful and important species: the barn swallow (Hirundo rustica). 

  • We will learn facts about barn swallows ie: their range, their appearance, their diets and more
  • We will learn why they are incredibly important to our agriculture
  • We will talk about their decline and factors such as habitat loss
  • There will be photos, platforms, barn swallow feces and a barn swallow nest
