Calling aspiring writers and artists! Showcase your stories in our annual Anthology. The finished book will be added to the library collection. Fantasy, humor, comics, facts, and so much more. There are infinite ways to share your voice and color our world!

Guidelines:

-Your story must be your own original work. It can be narrative (fiction) or informational (nonfiction)!

-Only ONE ENTRY per person or group. 

-Work MUST be one of:

  • Fiction or nonfiction story, 1500 word maximum
  • Poem, 300 word maximum
  • Comic/graphic novel, 5 pages maximum

-All works must be titled.

-All work must be typed as you want it to be published. Your story MUST have your name, grade, and phone number on the first page.

-Entries can be submitted through GoogleDrive or by email attachment (.doc or .docx files ONLY; .jpg or .png for comic/graphic novels) to kellyanne.healey@pt.mainlib.org.

-Your story must be emailed by a parent OR guardian OR caregiver stating that they give permission to publish your work in our creative writing anthology. Entries not submitted by a parent OR guardian OR caregiver will not be published.

-Entries must be submitted by Saturday, August 16, 2025 @ 5PM. NO LATE ENTRIES WILL BE ACCEPTED.

-Each participant will receive a copy of the anthology in late September/early October!
